Monmouth Coffee has nothing on Vagabond. It's, easily, the best coffee in the area and possibly the most superior in London. Their beans have a sumptuous, nutty, flavour and they aren't over-roasted like other chain coffee shops. Stop by and pick up a flat white on your way to work or hang out and surf their complimentary internet.

The Park Theatre

The Old Dairy

The Old Dairy is literally just that. Built in 1890 it was originally the site of a dairy and certain features within this huge pub such as the exposed brick walls, the steel girders and the incredible etchings on the Crouch Hill side are evidence of its former life.

It has been restored into a gorgeous looking pub with a wonderful selection of food and drink on offer. They also host an array of events including a Quiz night, Comedy evening, Life drawing and Mums & Babies club.

Season Kitchen

Good quality, honestly sourced produce, served within a warm, welcoming, convivial room. The décor at Season Kitchen is nice and mellow, with subtle greys offset by an interesting collection of old paintings.  Everything on offer here is own-made, including the fabulous, no-extra-charge bread.  The critics are raving about this local restaurant and the wonderful food which is a  mix of British, Mediterranean and other influences.

Dear Pizza is a charming Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Highbury, offering a large selection of traditional Italian thin crust pizzas and a Mediterranean style a la carte menu. This family run coffeehouse and tea room makes one feel at home. Situated in Highbury Barn, Highness spans two levels and is filled with comfy antique furniture. They offer a selection of cakes (to die for), and all of the desserts are made by their talented patisserie chef, Nes. Smoothies and lunch are available as well including sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes and home made soup.

Il Guscio Highbury is now a very popular local and authentic Italian restaurant owned by Salvatore and Cristiano who between them have worked in San Lorenzo, the Four Seasons, The American Bar at the Savoy and many other highly successful establishments.  Together they decided to recreate some of the Italian flavours of the past in Highbury, opening the restaurant as a tribute to the famous Il Guscio in Sardinia.

St. John’s Tavern is primarily a pub with a beautiful large dining room, serving British cuisine, using seasonal, locally sourced produce. Due to the owners’ travels, there is a healthy showing of European regional cooking and tasty Tapas, but the style remains simple and hearty. Apart from the excellent selection of wine on offer, there are also some real ales to choose from and they have a workers lunch on offer from 12 pm – 4 pm every Tuesday to Saturday. And a special mention for the homemade Scotch Eggs, which are the best we’ve ever tasted!

The Bread and Bean Cafe

The Bread and Bean opened in November 2011 and has been a big hit with the locals ever since. It's got classic comfortable decor and the massive windows make this a pleasant place to while away an hour or two. They use Union Coffee Roasters’ Revelation blend which is nutty and rich. The flat whites are superb. All of the baked goods are made on the premises and the food ranges from cooked breakfasts to sandwiches.
